Devbagh beach
Devbagh beach is quite close to Tarkarli beach. This is the place where the Karli river meets the Arabian sea. The locals call this – Devbagh Sangam, which means the Devbagh confluence. When you stand here the great Arabian Sea is on one side and the Karli river bank is on another side. This scenic spot is often used for photoshoots. Several migratory sea birds arrive here in the winter and this beach is a beautiful sight for the birders and bird watchers.
Tsunami island
A unique island called the Tsunami island is located very close to the Devbagh beach. You can take a ferry to this island from a small jetty near Devbagh beach. This island is named so because it was created due to the tsunami. This island is now slowly growing popular. This tiny C-shaped beach is quite beautiful with its white sands and clear waters. It is located just 1.5 km from Malvan bus depot. The Unseen beaches in Malvan
Wayari beach
This golden sands beach is most frequented by the local fishermen. It is stashed in between the popular beaches of Tarkarli and Dandi, which is why it is still quite unexplored. There are several hotels and homestays here, where you can have a peaceful stay with your family. The sunset from this beach is perfect. A few restaurants nearby serve amazing Malvani cuisine and seafood. You can even buy freshly caught fish and other seafood and get them cooked at one of the hotels here. The northern part of this beach, called Wayari Bhutnath beach is also very scenic and peaceful.
Wairy Ubhatwadi beach
This beach towards the south of Malvan has silver sands and sparkling clear blue waters. You can find several different types of seashells along the shore, to take home as your souvenirs. Many dolphins come closer to this beach early in the morning when the first rays of the sun touch the sea. It is also a beautiful place to watch the sunset. It has a steep shore which is why swimming is not recommended here. But you can relax or play along the shoreline.
The road to this beach is a bit confusing to find as there is only one signboard. You can ask the locals or figure it out from google maps. Not many tourists visit here, which is why it is a clean and peaceful beach in Malvan.
Tondavali beach
Tondavali beach is located to the north of Malvan. It is less commercialized and quite unexplored. It is located in the northernmost part of Malvan and it’s closely connected to the Talashil peninsula. This beach is ideal for a night stay to enjoy the amazing night sky. Several stars are visible quite clearly. And on full moon days, the moonlit sea is the most amazing sight. This is an unforgettable moment or a once in a lifetime experience. This is a very unique and interesting location in Malvan. The Tondavali beach extends southward to form the Talashil peninsula. The Gad river flows just behind the peninsula. And the vast expanse of the Arabian sea lies to its west. So, this peninsula is surrounded by sea on one side and the river on another, making it a beautiful out-of-the-world place. At the end tip of the Talashil peninsula, the Gad river meets the Arabian sea. The easiest way to reach the end tip of this peninsula is to take a ferry from the Sarjekot jetty.
And you can also check the Shimpala point close to the Sarjekot jetty. It is a small island approachable by a ferry only. There are several seashells scattered all across this little rocky island. You will be amazed by the variety of colours and patterns of the seashells found here.
